Our story
I wondered… why not?
I started Wonder because I was looking for a healthier alternative to traditional snacks, which are often fried and heavily processed with ingredients we don't really understand.
Snacks that taste good in the moment, but leave you feeling guilty afterwards. And as a father I didn't feel good about giving that kind of food to my kids.
Having grown up in California, I was familiar with healthier snack alternatives.
So I wondered… why doesn't something like that exist in Norway?
Then I tasted air-popped popcorn.
This is simple.
This is delicious.
This feels good.
So I started WONDER.
Then we started test growing our own corn.
Popping corn loves heat, and Norway isn't known for it. We're learning anyway, a handful of fields near Oslo, coaxed through a short northern summer.
Picked when it's ready.
We pick by hand, cob by cob, when the kernel is dry enough to pop and not a day before. Machines are faster; they just don't know what ready feels like.
Just hot air.
No oil, no kettle of fat, no shortcuts, only hot air, until each kernel loses its nerve and turns itself inside out. That's where the lightness comes from.
Three ingredients, bagged by us.
Corn, a little organic coconut oil, and Havsnø sea salt from the coast. Three things you can actually pronounce, and we bag every batch ourselves, here in Norway.
Then it goes where you go.
Light enough for a backpack, gym bag, or to go wherever you go. And if it leaves you wondering why popcorn was ever made any other way, that's the idea.
Light as air. Founder-tested.
Patrick, somewhere in the Norwegian mountains, personally checking the brand promise. So far it holds.

However the day goes.
